Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project will provide needed maintenance and repairs to three (3) structures at the TFACA campus. a. Potable Water Tank This is a bolted seam tank that has some rusting. The tank needs to be repainted to provide a protective layer against rust. b. Water Tower (Inspection and Maintenance) This is a 175 foot tall elevated water tank. In order to maintain compliance with the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) requirements for inspection, this tank must be inspection every five (5) years. In addition to the inspection, the tank must be cleaned and painted. This will include replacement of the faded TFACA logo. c. Water Tower (Telemetry System) Currently TFACA has a KB line that is supported by the telephone company that controls the pressure switch for the water tank to the control box which supplies all the water for fire training, fire hydrants, and the buildings that have sprinklers. The telephone company has stated they no longer will support the line.
