Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFQ is to obtain consultant services to assist the State in the development of a multimodal Long Range Transportation Policy Plan (LRTP) that incorporates a performance-based planning approach, identifies transportation options that will best serve the state's needs and expectations over the next 20-25 years, and that complies with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act and any subsequent transportation legislation that addresses statewide and multimodal transportation planning. The selected consultant or consultant team will be expected to provide professional consultant services for a variety of transportation planning activities associated with the development of the LRTP. Transportation planning activities could include, but not be limited to, community involvement and public outreach, research and data collection, analyzing and updating the statewide travel demand model (TDM), developing guiding principles, goals and objectives, assessment of existing and future conditions to determine constraints/needs, financial planning to evaluate strategies for short and long-range transportation planning activities, and evaluating the impact that new and emerging technologies could have on the future of transportation e.g. autonomous vehicles, etc.
