Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Provide and/or perform any and all services as may be required for full compliance with the requirements of the Post-Mortem Examination Act, Tennessee Code Annotated § 38-7-101, et seq. (the “Act”), including any subsequent or future amendments to the Act as they may be adopted during the term of this Contract, and adhere to any and all such requirements as may be necessary for full compliance with the Act (hereinafter the “Services”). 2.Assist Shelby County Health Department with alleviating morgue capacity issues atShelby County Hospitals by taking custody of and providing appropriate disposition for overflow cases.3.Establish a protocol by which hospitals can notify the Contractorof overflow cases.4.Initiate a transfer of custody of the body from the hospital to the servicing facility usingServicing facility transportation services.5.Once Servicing Facility is in possession of the body, servicing Facility staff will coordinate and communicate with the legal next of kin and funeral homes to ensure appropriate disposition of the remains in a timely and dignified manner.
