Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Scanning of all medical bills and reports into digital format or receive same in a digital format on a daily basis that will be entered into an interface with the County’s Workers’ Compensation Claims Management software application for accessing, processing, and storing. b. Indexing of all medical bills and reports. c. Requesting needed documents for incomplete bills from providers. d. Verifying all billing CPT codes comply with actual treatment provided. e. Identifying treatment that is not appropriate under the AMA guidelines. f. Monitoring and identifying duplicate bills. Sending those previously reviewed bill(s) to providers along with EOR marked duplicate. Send zero payment EOR to provider and provide justification for zero payment. g. Repricing of bills in accordance with State fee schedule and/or PPO contracts. h. Repricing of bills pursuant to amounts agreed by contract between Knox County and certain medical providers.
