Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide General Benefit Consulting Services to Metro as requested. Metro currently has a population of 14,500 employees and 9,300 pensioners. Said services shall include monitoring of benefit programs and other related advisory and consulting services in the following areas: · Healthcare (medical and dental) · Optional benefits (short and long term disability, vision) · Disability management · Integrated health management · Life insurance (basic, AD&D, supplemental and dependent) · In-Line-Of-Duty injury and illness programs · In-Line-of-Duty death benefits · Flexible benefits (pretax benefits and FSAs) · Optional insurance benefits · Employee Assistance Program · Deferred compensation · Benefit administration · Employee communication/education · Assistance in developing and reviewing RFPs · Overall benefit strategy, design and pricing · Medicare Part D coordination, including Employer Group Waiver Plans (EGWP) · Service pension benefit administration · Disability pension benefit administration, including case management · Annual benefit statements · COBRA benefits · Annual Medical Claims Study of the MNPS Clinic Incentive Program per Metro Resolution No. RS2011-1788 · Annual Review of the Hospital Authority Incentive Program · On-going support of the Pension Earnings and Repository Calculation (PERC) Project and continued implementation of a Defined Benefit Pension Administration system Dependent Eligibility Verifications if requested by Metro. · Benefit compliance with local, state, and federal laws including but not limited to Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) (Healthcare Reform), etc. · Work conducted for the Investment Committee, but only as specifically authorized · Work conducted or the Study & Formulating Committee, but only as specifically authorized · Perform Compensation Studies/Review · Assist with the Open Range Pay Plan · Organizational Structure Reviews · Strategic Workforce Planning · Staffing Analysis · Onboarding and Exit Interview Reviews · Diversity Awareness · Other HR related consulting support as needed · Other related matters under the Board's jurisdiction, as directed by the Board or Human Resources Director
