Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County "Metro" is looking to enter into an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a Contractor to provide quality fruits and vegetables. Metro is seeking a Contractor to provide quality fruit and vegetables that will meet the needs of all students in the participating Head Start and Head Start Programs thru guidance's of the United States Food and Drug Administration and Child Nutrition policies, regulations, and standards. Specifically, the Child and Adult Care Food Programs administered through the Metro Action Commission (MAC) Summer Food Service Program, Head Start and Early Head Start, and At-Risk Afterschool Care Centers. The Early Head Start & Head Start Programs of MAC is seeking to increase the amount of local produce in their centers and to have the ability to trace the source and origin of their produce. The non-food items, such as fruit boxes and basket requests are for various activities.
