We seek an agency that has demonstrated leadership in the PR industry and holds extensive knowledge of the travel and tourism sector. Your agency must be willing to become a subject matter expert on Tennessee, including the diverse experiences within each distinct region (West, Middle, East). Strategy should include a mix of traditional and non-traditional media such as broadcast, digital, print and influencers. Established relationships with domestic media contacts at major national outlets with focus on travel, consumer and trade are necessary. ❖ In collaboration with TDTD and marketing agency of record, create and execute national earned media plans that elevate ongoing campaigns and initiatives. ❖ Develop and support creative and proactive storytelling efforts, including year-round and seasonal media relations. ❖ Enhance and establish productive long-term relationships with key outlets to include national broadcast, print and digital. ❖ Recommend, plan and execute appropriate key in-market events or deskside meetings that elevate relationships among TDTD and statewide partners including Chambers, CVBs, attractions, etc. ❖ Establish process for hosted media and influencer visits. Vet and identify appropriate opportunities for visits, and assist with itineraries and booking travel where needed. ❖ Facilitate creation of PR materials as needed, including press releases, fact sheets and pitches. ❖ Identify opportunities to enhance TDTD efforts and elevate reputation through thought leadership and engagement among policy-makers. ❖ Assist with crisis communication efforts as-needed, including message development and media inquiries. ❖ Assist with regular maintenance and audit of shared media database. ❖ Support measurement of PR efforts through detailed reporting which includes metrics of secured media. ❖ Report PR efforts weekly through status calls and corresponding reports.
