Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Commerce and Insurance, Regulatory Boards Division (“Division”) is responsible for regulating several hundred thousand Tennesseans in their professions and businesses. The Commissioner of the Department of Commerce and Insurance, boards, commissions, or other governmental entities administratively attached to the Department of Commerce and Insurance, has statutory authority under Tennessee Code Annotated Title 62, Title 20, or Title 16 to establish initial and continuing education requirements for professionals who are licensed, registered, or certified (“licensees”) with the Division. These requirements are established through rules and regulations promulgated in accordance with the provisions of the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act. Before receiving or renewing a license, certification, or registration, an applicant must provide proof of completion of initial or continuing education coursework to the Division. The Department of Commerce and Insurance intends to award one (1) contract to implement an electronic system to manage initial and continuing education required for initial licensure and license renewal, streamline the education audit process, and increase the population of audited licensees.
