Specifications include, but are not limited to: consultation services and reporting that will guide SDSU, SDSMT, the State of South Dakota and private enterprise to plan, fund, and execute a successful initiative that grows bio-feedstock transformation research and development at SDSU and SDSMT and leverages it into economic development. This initiative of research, development, and workforce preparation aims to support bio-industry growth around transforming bio-feedstocks into value added products through bioprocessing and other transformation processes. ; Tentative report title: Roadmap and economic impact: a university bio-feedstock transformation research, development and workforce preparation initiative in South Dakota The consultation and report shall answer key questions, including, but not necessarily limited to the following: What are the foundational strengths, resources and opportunities in South Dakota for stimulating economic activity in bio-feedstock transformation through university research and development, and workforce preparation? What is the potential economic growth in South Dakota of the bio-feedstock transformation industry? What are the infrastructural and human resource capacity gaps at SDSU and SDSMT to provide sufficient research, development and workforce preparation to support growth of the South Dakota bio-feedstock transformation industry to its full potential?
