Specifications include, but are not limited to: This is a new dog park facility within the North Charleston Wannamaker County Park (NCWCP). The project area is in an undeveloped portion of the park which is characterized by woods and wetlands. This area has been planned as two separate phases, with the construction of the dog park as the initial phase (phase 3A-1). The work consists of clearing and grubbing approximately 12 acres, tree protection, storm water sediment and erosion control measures, grading & drainage, including two 0.4 acre dry ponds. In addition, a 1800 SF restroom building, utility extensions of water & sewer mains, storm drainage, multi-use trail, associated parking, site lighting and telecommunications (cable in conduit), along with associated hardscape and landscaping, fencing, as well as coordination of shade structures and a spray jet play pad feature for dogs. The spray pad spray jets shall be owner provided through Vortex International, which will install the spray jets and all piping under spray pad. A shade structure will be provided by the owner though USA Shade, which will provide all necessary structure parts and installation. The contractor will provide the concrete flat work in both the spray pad and shade pad areas. The Contractor will coordinate scheduling with these specialty items to facilitate an efficient installation of these features.
