Specifications include, but are not limited to: Security officers must be trained and alert at all times and must take appropriate actions as instructed by their company’s operating procedures, rules and regulations on the following, but not limited to: 1. Emergencies (fires, injuries, illness, etc.) 2. Break-ins or vandalism; 3. Breach of security; 4. Safety or hazardous conditions; 5. Unauthorized or suspicious persons; 6. Repair or maintenance problems; 7. Complaints or information; and 8. Disturbances or any other actions that would jeopardize the security or safety to City property, visitors, or staff. ; Security officers will enforce the established system of control at entrances and exits throughout the premises as requested by the City. Security officers should patrol and observe assigned areas for security of the City’s property, staff, and visitors. Utilizing phones provided, the City requests daily tracks using “dots” at various locations in the building for scanning. This will help to ensure more accountability. Security officers should conduct security inspections of designated areas during normal working hours to determine that they are properly secured and otherwise in good order. Security officers will respond to fire and security alarms. Security officers will act as necessary in carrying out the best interest of the City in the event of disaster or disorders such as fires, accidents, riots, or the committing of criminal acts. Contractor shall be familiar with the City’s safety, security and emergency plans, procedures, protocols, and assist as directed. Security officers will constantly be on the alert for matters of fire and safety interest, and promptly report all fire and safety violations and hazards.
