Specifications include, but are not limited to: Replace decking, railing boards, and miscellaneous at beach access 35. For beach access 35 replace all decking, and railing boards with pressure treated lumber using either nominal (2” x 4”), (2” x 6”) or (2” x 8”) of same or similar size of the boards being replaced. Attach boards using (#10 x 3-1/2”) stainless steel screws, with a star bit head. Placement of decking boards should have edges touching or with a maximum gap of 1/8” to allow for shrinkage without leaving a large gap. Coordinate with the Town Building Official on replacement of existing damaged, pilings or framing members. Final decision on replacement of damaged components shall remain with the Town Building Official. • Remove sand on seaward portion of beach access to allow replacement of decking. Relocate, and equally distribute sand to foot paths on each side of the beach access on the seaward end in small mounds to block foot paths. Reference attachment (A) for illustration. • Remove steps on left side of beach access and install railing matching existing railings. Reference attachment (A) for illustration. • Add railing on right side at the seaward end of beach access to form one straight continuous ramp. Reference attachment (A) for illustration. • Relocate post and rope at the seaward end on left side of beach access lot. Relocate post with rope to adjacent to beach access railing to block foot path. Additional rope length may be obtained by pulling from the entire length of rope through the existing posts. Reference attachment (A) for illustration. • Relocate bike rack to right side of beach access. Anchor the bike rack to the ground, blocking the foot path. Reference attachment (A) for illustration. • Remove railing at the seaward end of beach access ramp.
