Specifications include, but are not limited to: The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to remove the current flaking lead based paint from the wood siding, remove and replace damaged wood around (3) windows and prep the wood siding prior to repainting the wood siding at the Belfast House in Kinards, SC. • Contractor shall clean equipment only in areas designated by DNR. • The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of offsite all hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated from work of this contract in accordance with all EPA, State, Federal and Local regulations. • Contractor may use public restrooms in the facility near the public parking lot. Contractor may not use restrooms in the house. • Water and power will be available at the house and the staging area. • Contractor may drive vehicles up to the house for unloading and loading only. Vehicles will be parked in areas designated by the DNR. • Access to the interior of the house will be available to the public at all times. Contractor shall protect all physical resources, including the wood shake shingle roof, grass, trees\shrubs, and walkways. The Belfast house exterior has been surveyed for the presence of lead-based paint. Attachment A (see section 9 of this solicitation) is a copy of the lead survey report. Lead base paint has been found to be present on the exterior of the house. The contractor is responsible and required to review attachment A. All work involving lead base paint shall be performed in accordance with all OSHA and EPA regulations. Lot 1 consists of removing all flaking paint from the exterior of Belfast House with proper disposal in accordance with all OSHA and EPA regulations.
