Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall have available atleast six (6) vehicles, appropriately licensedand insured for commercial use. Vehicles should bein maintained in good mechanical and physical condition, properly equipped, clean,and adequately stocked with suppliesat all times. Vehicles must be arranged internally to accommodate the transport of decedentsand allow for thesecuring of stretchers to the body of the vehicle.The use of any audible or visual emergency equipment on any vehicle, stationary or mobile, is prohibited. No types of advertising or commercial identification, either interior or exterior, may be affixed to the vehicle. No other types of advertising, such as pamphlets, business cards and letters,of any kind may be carried in or on the vehicle.Each vehicle must be supplied withthe following items in sufficient or recommended quantities in order to completemultiple callsfor service:A minimum of one (1) stretcher in good working condition;One cover per stretcher in good condition;Related removal equipment in good working condition;New, unused heavy weight, envelope opening type, body bags (minimum of two);New, unused lightweight, envelope opening type, body bags (minimum of two);Odor proof body bag(minimum of one);Disposable gloves(minimum of one box);Clean white cloth sheets(minimum of two);Waterproof identification bands;Approved locks to secure body bags;Disposable, protective clothing for attendants;Respirator masks (preferably N-95), and protective eyewear for attendants;Disinfectant suitable for cleaning stretchers and equipment;andBiohazard bags.
