Specifications include, but are not limited to: - replacing broken concrete sections of curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveways constructing new catch basins, converting existing catch basins within the State Right-of-Way when the catch basin is designated as a Catch Basin - Type 9, 16, 17, or 18, the entire existing structure shall be removed, including the masonry box and bottom slab of the existing catch basin if present. The contractor shall be paid for the removal, disposal, and replacement of masonry at the price bid per linear foot of extra depth of catch basin if over 6 feet deep. When the catch basin is designated as a Catch Basin - Type 17 Retro-Fit or Type 18 Retro-Fit, it will include the removal and disposal of that portion of an existing catch basin from the top of the basin to an approximate elevation of 24 inches below the top of top slab and the construction of a new catch basin on top of the remaining retained structure. The existing bottom slab and a portion of the existing masonry box will remain in place and the new catch basin constructed on top of these.
