Specifications include, but are not limited to: The main purpose of this project is to redesign two key intersections at Academy/Wardlaw and Academy/Falls Park Drive. Academy Street is an existing multi-lane arterial road owned and maintained by the SCDOT. Falls Park Drive, Westfield Street, and Wardlaw Street are owned and maintained by the City of Greenville. The project is being administered and funded by the City of Greenville. The project does not include any federal funding and federal requirements do not apply. The proposed scope of work includes traffic control, curb and gutter, drainage, pavers, 8’ sidewalk, landscaping, and lighting. The project includes a base bid and several alternate bid items, summarized as follows: • Academy Streetscape Base Bid – The base bid includes all work associated with installing the medians, pavers, striping, and sidewalks at the both the intersections of Wardlaw/Westfield & Falls Park Drive with S Academy. • Alternate bid item 1 is for site electrical and lighting along Westfield. The lump sum price is for a complete, functional electrical and street lighting system. The City will provide light poles, light fixtures and anchor bolts; all other materials are expected to be furnished by the Contractor as part of the lump sum price. • Alternate bid item 2 is for site electrical and lighting along Markley Street. The lump sum price is for a complete, functional electrical and street lighting system. The City will provide light poles, light fixtures and anchor bolts; all other materials are expected to be furnished by the Contractor as part of the lump sum price.
