Specifications include, but are not limited to: Demolition of studs, patching, painting, minor plumbing and construction of new walls. 1.0 General Scope: 1.1 General scope of work includes demolition/renovation of sections of the existing structure and painting of walls. 1.2 This also includes the setup and removal of dumpster(s) sufficient for removal and cleanup of all debris from designated area. 1.3 Designated elevator will be available to contractor during on site work. 1.4 The contractor is responsible for all paint, supplies, labor, material, applicable taxes, equipment, licenses, and permits for all services as described in this solicitation. 1.5 The drawing of areas designated for demolition will be provided via transmission of the solicitation and at the scheduled site visit. 1.6 Work to be completed first includes that which encompasses the spaces designated as 2.0 Preparation: 2.1 Provide for the protection of persons passing around or through the area of demolition. 2.2 Erect and maintain temporary partitions to prevent spread of dust, odors, and noise to permit continued building occupancy. 2.3 Protect existing materials that are not to be demolished. 2.4 Provide appropriate temporary signage including signage for exit or building egress. 2.5 Damages: Without cost to SCDHHS, immediately, repair any damages caused to facility. 3.0 Pollution Control: 3.1 Control as much as practicable the spread of dust and dirt. 3.2 Observe environmental protection regulations. 3.3 Do not allow water usage that result in freezing or flooding. 4.0 Project Conditions: 4.1 Conduct demolition to minimize interference with adjacent and occupied building areas. 4.2 Cease operations immediately if structure appears to be in danger and notify SCDHHS Program Director and/or Project manager. Do not resume operations until directed. 4.3 Occupancy: During demolition and renovations, staff directly affected by the demolition and renovation will be relocated in the building.
