Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Office of the Adjutant General - Emergency Management Division has a requirement for individual permanent record dosimeters. The dosimeters must be accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) and in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards. The dosimeter(s) must be capable of quantifying beta, gamma, and x-ray exposures. The requirement is for 3,926 badges annually. Any additional or replacement badges requested must be provided within 30 days of request. The dosimeters must have a shelf-life of, no less than, 25 months and must have the capability to be reanalyzed numerous times without compromising the final legal dose of record. Requirement is to have onsite analysis if an incident should occur by using a portable manual reader for immediate dose assessment and then sending to NVLAP accredited laboratory for the final dose of record. Badges are to be processed and exchanged biennially (every two years).
