Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The analyzer should be a multiplex, imaging system for toxicology biochip array assays that uses a Charge coupled device (CCD) camera. • The analyzer must be capable of performing simultaneous detection of at least 13 drugs of abuse assays from a single patient sample in a single run. • The analyzer should use biochip array technology • The analyzer must report up to 22 tests per samples in a single run. • The analyzer must have a throughput of minimum of 100 samples per hour and 1100 tests per hour. • The analyzer must be capable of handling whole blood and urine with little or no pretreatment. • The analyser must be capable of handling antemortem and post-mortem samples. (References required upon request) • The analyzer must have user defined cut off values for the toxicology panels. • The analyser must have the ability to add samples while the instrument is running. • The drug assays must be competitive immunoassays, using Horse Radish Peroxidase (HRP) as the detection substrate. • The analyzer must have a LIMS Bi-directional interface.
