Determine programmatic requirements for space as directed by the library with input by architect based on their knowledge of similar spaces for Teens. North Wing basement will be dedicated to an enclosed space for the teens except for a hallway needed to access Technical Services, elevator and Bookmobile Garage. Work with staff to locate the Teen collection outside the space so it is available when the Teen Zone is not open. Prepare drawings. Check to make sure that mechanical system will function to provide a comfortable area when the space is enclosed and sufficient electricity to power lighting and equipment. Prepare drawings if upgrade is necessary. Prepare schematic floor plans and interior elevations for review. Review the proposed floor plans with the library committee. Modify the schematics as required; proceed to more definitive plans/drawings Second Review of the schematic drawing with library committee and present them to Library Trustees to gain approval to proceed to design development. Review the design development with the City Building Official and Fire Marshal, and others as necessary. Provide computer-generated base renderings to help visualize the space that the library can use in submitting grant applications and funding from donors.
