Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Bid is to include all material, labor, equipment, freight, transportation and services required to remove and replace existing windows at the Island Free Library, except where such items are specifically noted to be provided by the Town or others. Removal and disposal of eight fixed light windows on the south side of the Library, including the provision of temporary weather tight enclosure to protect the building interior from the elements for the duration of the work. Removal of surrounding trim, cedar shingles, flashing, and building wrap down to existing sheathing. Remove sufficient siding to allow for flashing installation, splicing of building wrap and proper weaving in of new shingles with existing. Removal and replacement of damaged or wetted sheathing with CDX plywood. Bid shall allow for 64 Square feet of sheathing replacement. Patching and replacement of building wrap – layer into existing and tape. Slope rough opening sill by installing one cedar clapboard flat on sill with thin edge to exterior. Install stretchable flashing taped per manufacturer’s instruction to seal rough sill. Stretch flashing to be Zip System Stretch Tape, or equal as approved by Owner. Install 10” wide minimum Grace Vicor flashing strip up each jamb and across head of rough opening. Lap and seal corners. At head and Jambs turn building wrap into the rough opening a minimum of 3”.
