Specifications include, but are not limited to: The surveyor shall find or set points on line using fieldstone drill holes, stone wall drill holes, granite posts, iron pipes, rods, or rebar at intervals no greater than 200 feet apart on any line longer than 300 feet. All points where the property line boundary changes bearing, direction or angle shall be set with a steel pipe, rod, or rebar, or a stone (field stone, wall stone, granite post, or heap of stones) with drill hole surrounded by a clearly visible ring of paint. If the point is a tree or other object, or in a body of water, a pipe, rod, rebar or stone shall be set on both sides of the point as close to the point as practical. The top of each monument shall be at least three inches above ground. All points shall be accompanied by a witness stake with flagging.
