Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project includes performing maintenance and improvement dredging within the Narragansett Bay including Quonset West Channel, Rhode Island Fast Ferry and Port of Davisville facilities located in North Kingstown, RI (approximately 450,000 cy of material with off-shore disposal): Pier 2: The dredge area at Pier 2 and the approach channel to the port facility: This area will be dredged to a depth of minus 33-feet (- 33’MLW) plus an additional one-foot of allowable overdepth; and minus 22-feet (-22’ MLW) plus an additional one-foot overdepth along the Pier Extension. The total of approximately 235,000 cubic yards (cy) of material will be mechanically dredged and disposed at the Rhode Island Disposal Site. Rhode Island Fast Ferry: Rhode Island Fast Ferry located in North Kingstown, RI: This area will be dredged to a depth of minus 9-feet (-9’MLW) plus an additional one-foot of allowable overdepth. The total of approximately 10,500 cubic yards (cy) of material will be mechanically dredged and disposed at the Rhode Island Disposal Site.
