Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Replace existing roof top unit with a Daikin McQuay Rebel model DPS012A, or comparable model. 2) Verify that from a structural engineering standpoint the roof of the building is suited to handle the load of the new unit. 3) Install dedicated variable air volume (VAV) boxes in four of the rooms serviced by the new RTU. The City may elect to eliminate the VAV box installation from project scope depending on cost constraints. 4) Install direct digital control (DDC) system associated with new unit. Control system must be tied to existing Automated Logic System. For each room served by the unit, graphics and controls must be added to the Automated Logic web portal. a. Add alternative allowed for new control system with graphics on a web portal comparable to Automated Logic. 5) Perform work in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, codes, and ordinances of local, state and federal authorities, and in accordance with the requirements of public utility corporations having jurisdiction over the work. 6) Obtain and pay for necessary permits, licenses and certificates and give notices as required during the performance of the work. 7) Coordinate work with CIP Manager or Project Coordinator to minimize disruption and displacement of employees in the building. The building will be occupied at all times during this contract.
