A. Vending Machines. 1. Install current production model vending machines at various County locations as listed in Exhibit A. Machines shall be appropriately sized for the location. Machines shall be energy efficient. 2. Machines shall be County approved. Obtain County approval prior to any major changes to the vending program. 3. Machines shall not be set to force vend. Refunds shall be provided even if no selection is made. 4. Coordinate installation of new machines with the County representative to insure proper facilities are available. 5. Furnish, maintain, and properly service all machines to ensure good working order, cleanliness, and absence of insects and pests. 6. Provide a visible decal on each machine indicating a working customer service phone number for services, repairs, and/or refunds available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each business day. 7. A minimum of one (1) beverage machine is expected at each location. The Contractor may install any combination of machines the Contractor deems suitable for the location. B. Product. 1. Provide a listing of all snacks and drinks along with pricing listed on a separate page. 2. Provide a variety of items, including healthy snacks and drinks as well as diet and caffeine free drinks 3. Routinely inspect items for freshness and quality and promptly remove all outdated items 4. Sell high-quality items and provide the highest quality services at the lowest possible prices, with or without a commission coming back to the County. C. Staffing. 1. Employees shall be neat and clean in appearance, obey all facility rules and posted guidelines concerning personal behavior. The County may request an employee not adhering to these guidelines be removed from the contract. 2. Use skilled, trained, and, if applicable, licensed personnel to carry out the operation and maintenance of all machines. Except as provided by the terms of the Contract, all personnel shall be directly employed by the Contractor. 3. All employees shall be in an identifiable uniform bearing the employee’s name and the Contractor’s name of business. Visible identification badges are recommended and at the direction of the County may be required at specified locations. 4. Provide a minimum of seven (7) business days’ advance notice of any personnel substitutions.
