COAT SPECIFICATIONS: Coat Model / Design: Athletic cut (Ex: Lion- V-Force®, Fire-Dex-FXR®, etc.) NFPA Compliant Bi-Swing Coat Thermal Liner Glide Ice™ 2-Layer with a face cloth consisting of 60% DuPont™ Nomex® filament and 40% DuPont™ Nomex®/Lenzing FR spun yarns quilted to 2 layers of DuPont™ Nomex® E89™ spunlace. The total weight of the thermal liner shall be approximately 7.4 ounces per square yard. **or equivalent Glide Ice™ variant Moisture Barrier STEDAIR® 4000 moisture barrier material shall be a 5.5oz/yd2 two layer laminate comprised of an enhanced bicomponent membrane and 3.2 ounce per square yard Nomex® IIIA woven pajama check substrate. The enhanced bicomponent membrane shall be comprised of an expanded PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) matrix having a continuous hydrophilic (water loving) and oliophobic (oil-hating) coating that is impregnated into the matrix. The moisture barrier shall meet and exceed all requirements of NFPA 1971-2018 edition, which includes water penetration resistance, viral penetration resistance, and common chemical penetration resistance and provides excellent total heat loss (THL) and thermal protective performance (TPP). Outer Shell: PBI Max, a 7.0 ounces per square yard, twill weave, constructed of 30% “600 Denier Kevlar Filament” and 70% “PBI Dominant” PBI/Kevlar Spun yarns and contain an FPPE durable water repellant finish. Shell color shall be Tan Coat Water Well Chambray DWR 2-Layer Quilt with Chambray face cloth/StedAir 4000 with 1" elastic wrist shield. Water well with 3/4" loop, male snap, sewn to coat liner sleeves. **or equivalent Coat Wristlets Nomex Knit wrist w/ Cotton Thumb loop – 6” long, two-layer Nomex wristlets shall be sewn to the water well with 5/8"x3 1/8" nomex webbing thumb loop properly set as to align with the wearer’s thumb. Color shall be black. **or equivalent (Ex: Lion- 6" isodri wristlet liner system) Coat Closure The coat front closure shall consist of a zipper on the coat fronts and woven hook and loop (Zipper/Velcro). The teeth of the zipper shall be mounted on Nomex® cloth and shall be sewn to the left front body panel and right jacket facings. The zipper parts shall be bartacked at the top and bottom for strength. Zipper pull side of zipper shall not be sewn to the garment at the bottom to allow for a gloved hand to easily grab the end of the zipper with a gloved hand when donning. 1 1/2" shall be left loose. The storm flap shall be curved at the top and extend all the way up on the collar. The coat shall also have front facings that extend from the collar to the hem area. These facings shall be 2" wide and be comprised of outer shell material and corresponding moisture barrier
