The University of Michigan (“University”) seeks proposals from qualified Suppliers of fast casual food service concepts to complement the current mix of food offerings at the Michigan Union (Panda Express, Panera Bread, Subway, Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea, Qdoba, WingSnob, and Blue Market) and the Pierpont Commons (Panda Express, Hibachi San, Fireside Cafe, Great Greek and Blue Market). The project objective is to provide a variety of food service offerings that will appeal to the University's diverse campus community and continue to make the Michigan Union and Pierpont Commons a destination dining location on campus. Ideally, this will include global and international concepts, including but not limited to cuisines from or influenced by Asian, bowl concepts, Indian, Mexican, pizza, sandwiches, or specialized concepts such as ice cream, pretzels, desserts, smoothies, boba teas and juices. Suppliers are invited to participate in the University’s Request for Proposal (“RFP”) process to open a restaurant location in the Michigan Union, located in Ann Arbor's central campus and/or Pierpont Commons student union located at the University of Michigan's North Campus.
