The City occasionally needs assistance for architectural engineering services related to existing city-owned buildings. Such services may range from minor interior wall redesign and reconstruction to full tenant improvements of an existing building in order to provide services to the community. Such improvements would be considered Public Works, and as such would be subject to public contract code and Public Works rules and regulations. The consultant and proposed subconsultants shall be capable of delivering a range of services including but not limited to: - Interior and exterior building redesign, including removal, relocation and erection of load bearing and non-load bearing walls, seismic retrofits, and foundation repairs/reconstruction/modifications - Building retrofits and modifications to support animal holding and sheltering services, including but not limited to drainage and conveyance of animal waste, interior lighting, flooring, windows, general pluming, animal intake and holding spaces, and customer service counter - Planning and design of ADA accessible facilities - Electrical engineering - Plumbing and mechanical engineering - Production of plans, specifications and estimates for building renovations/reconstruction - Structural inspections and material testing of existing buildings - Seismic assessment of City buildings; - Minor non-structural redesign services for private commercial business uses (eg, proposed business requires minor tenant improvements to modify placement/design of display shelving, cases, and/or cashiering counter)
