• Environmental permitting support for state and federal permits. • Oversight of subcontractors providing nuisance/exotic species control in mitigation areas. • Natural resources consulting in wetland ecology, wetland mitigation, wildlife biology, aquatic biology, water quality, Threatened or Endangered (TIE) species, ecological risk assessment, and Geographic Information Systems. • Surveys for wildlife occurrence including TIE species. • Environmental studies, mitigation planning and monitoring, development and implementation of land management, and species-specific management plans. • Responses to requests to assist in recovery and transport of injured wildlife. • Expert witnesses in the unlikely event expert witnesses are needed. • Relocation of protected species of wildlife in accordance with permits. • Environmental support to Development of Regional Impact approvals as may be required. • Assist in annual training of District maintenance staff. • Wildlife monitoring, including southern bald eagle (Haliaeetus I. leucocephalus). • Preparation of reports, permit applications, and negotiations with state, local, and federal agencies. • Plus other similar services as determined necessary by the District.
