Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Texas at Austin’s Information Technology Services (ITS) and Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) require a data center environment that will house the computing needs for both organizations. Where the ITS needs high availability, TACC needs can be met with less stringent requirements. Where ITS needs for growth are slow but steady, TACC needs the ability to grow in bursts and deploy high performance computing clusters in a matter of months. Where ITS needs, on average, 8-10 kilowatts (kW) per rack, TACC needs are currently at 20 kW per rack and may peak at 40 kW per rack with the next deployment. The University requires geographically diverse, high availability, multiple wavelength, fiber optic infrastructure connecting the University main campus facility and the data center. The University desires for proposals to include respondent construction of fiber optic connectivity and for the respondent to provide the cost of multiple access facilities into the data center, where the University would install University provided fiber
