Specifications include, but are not limited to: The west entrance to the second floor dining area in Jester Center will be renovated. The project area is approximately 3,500 square feet and will include the entry, a “cashiers� area, the serving lines and prep/kitchen spaces. Improvements will include but not be limited to all finishes, millwork, and food service equipment including: selective demolition, hollow metal and wood doors and frames, door hardware, glazed aluminum entrance and storefront, metal studs and gypsum wall board partitions, acoustical panel and gypsum wall board ceilings, translucent resin panel system, tile and tile flooring, fire-stopping, and painting. The MEP scope of work includes demolition, relocation, and installation of new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm utilities. Food service equipment includes counters and two display cooking hoods. Additionally, three heating and ventilation make-up air units in the basement and two outside air fans in the penthouse will be replaced with a new owner-supplied roof mounted make-up air unit (40,000 cfm) to be installed on the roof of the 2nd floor to serve both the 1st and 2nd floor spaces. The two existing main air handlers in the mechanical penthouse area shall be replaced with new owner-supplied multi-zone VAV units (36,000 cfm each). An existing chilled water pump shall be replaced in the basement to provide the additional capacity required and the steam, condensate return, and chilled water piping shall be modified and expanded to provide service to the new units.
