Specifications include, but are not limited to: Jonesboro lacks suitable space in a single location for indoor sporting events such as basketball, volleyball, and aquatics, limiting our ability to participate in the sports tournament market. Along with the indoor programming, we have identified a need for space for convocation activities and convention and exhibit center space/rooms. The Jonesboro Advertising and Promotions Commission engaged a third-party consultant, Eastern Sports Management LLC, to provide a feasibility and economic impact study. As a result of this study, the A&P Commission is soliciting proposals for architectural/engineering services to design and develop this facility. We anticipate the following as conceptional ideas, as proposed by our consulting firm, only intended to provide offerors some directives as to size and scope of the project: * Approximately 200,000 sq ft indoor facility to be located on 30 +/- acres * Approximately 10-12 basketball courts * Approximately 20-24 Volleyball courts and flexible use for pickle ball * 50-meter pool with six to eight lanes and a warm up pool * Outdoor aquatics area for recreation such as spray ground, lazy river, splash pads * Food services * At least two indoor turf fields * Meeting rooms, flexible convocation/exhibition areas, flexible convention center space and community education space * Retractable spectator seating * Approximately 1,000 parking spaces
