Specifications include, but are not limited to: IDOC currently has large number of FWE food serving carts at all locations. The heated/ambient carts are used to serve the residents when they are isolated to their cells. This has been a regular occurrence during the past 10 years and more prevalent during the ongoing pandemic. The carts take a specific serving tray that has been standardize by IDOC. If we get a cart that does not fit the exact serving tray, we would need to purchase thousands of trays which would cost more than the carts we are trying to buy. Having a brand name solicitation doesn't mean we only have one vendor to bid. They can still be sent out for competitive bidding since there are numerous vendors who REP FWE. The models we are requesting are: Model--PTST-0709-66HA with 66 trays per side Model--PTST-0709-66HA with 44 trays per side No additional specifications were given.
