Specifications include, but are not limited to: 6. Section I - General Mechanical Repairs a. To include major engine and rear end repairs and replacement. b. Preventative maintenance is currently performed in-house, but Washington County reserves the right to out source this service at anytime during the term of the contract. c. Contractor must be in the primary business of automotive mechanical repair and demonstrate thorough knowledge of proper engine repair and replacement. d. All work to be done in accordance with Industry Standard Repair Practices. e. Repairs performed are to be completed with-in two weeks of authorization. The Purchasing Department must be notified of exceptions. Section II – Transmission Repairs a. To include major transmission and transfer case repairs and replacement. b. Contractor must be in the primary business of automotive transmission repair and demonstrate thorough knowledge of proper transmission repair and replacement. c. All work to be done in accordance with Industry Standard Repair Practices. d. Repairs performed are to be completed with-in two weeks of authorization. Contractor must be in the primary business of automotive collision repairs and demonstrate thorough knowledge of proper collision repairs. b. All work to be done in accordance with Industry Standard Repair Practices. c. Offeror shall be experienced in a wide variety of repairs including fiberglass, sheet metal, aluminum, plastic, corrosion resistance restoration (ICAR) standards, conventional frame correction, unibody correction with multiple pulling device and sectioning of structural members (in accordance with ICAR and manufacturer’s guidelines).
