Specifications include, but are not limited to: Class II Pruning – Standard Pruning 3.1.1.1 Standard pruning shall consist of the removal of dead, dying, diseased, and decayed branches one inch (1”) in diameter or larger within the crown. 3.1.1.2 May also include crown raising and/or crown restoration. Class III Pruning – Hazard Pruning 3.1.2.1 Hazard Pruning shall consist of the removal of dead, dying, diseased, decayed and broken branches two inches (2”) in diameter or larger within the crown. 3.1.2.2 May also include crown raising and/or crown restoration. 3.1.3 Class IV Pruning – Crown Reduction 3.1.3.1 Crown reduction shall consist of the reduction of the height and/or spread of a tree by cutting the top, sides, individual limbs or removing a parent limb or dominant leader at the point of attachment of a lateral branch. 3.1.3.2 Crown reduction may apply to the entire canopy or individual limbs as needed.
