Specifications include, but are not limited to: PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IS SOLICITING PROPOSALS FOR THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND BAGGAGE HANDLING SYSTEM WORK ASSOCIATED WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF EIGHT EXISTING EXPLOSIVE DETECTION CTX 9400 UNITS WITH SIX NEW GOVERNMENT FURNISHED CTX 9800 UNITS. THIS RECAPITALIZATION PROJECT WILL INCLUDE CHANGES TO THE EXISTING BAG MATRIX CONVEYOR SYSTEM AND WORKSTATION REPLACEMENTS IN THE ON SCREEN RESOLUTION (OSR) AND CHECKED BAGGAGE RECONCILIATION AREA (CBRA) ROOMS. THERE WILL BE SUPPORTING ELECTRICAL FEED CHANGES, ADDITIONAL HVAC FAN INSTALLATIONS FOR INCREASED AIR CIRCULATION, NEW COMMUNICATIONS CABLING FOR CONTROL SYSTEMS AND FIREPROOFING TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT. THIS PROJECT WILL REQUIRE WORK TO TAKE PLACE ON A RESTRICTED CALENDAR SCHEDULE, WITH THE MAJORITY WORK HAPPENING DURING NIGHT SHIFT IN ORDER TO ENSURE CONTINUED OPERATIONS OF THE SYSTEM AND PREVENT OUTAGE THAT WILL IMPACT AIRLINE OPERATIONS. ADDITIONALLY, WORK WILL REQUIRE CLOSE COORDINATION WITH PHL DOA AND TSA FOR THE RIGGING REQUIRED TO REMOVE, INSTALL, AND TEST THE CTX UNITS.
