Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Treat existing stone trail with a nonselective herbicide in accordance with manufactures specifications. Application of herbicides shall not occur when precipitation may occur within 24 hours of spraying. Treatments shall be made when conditions are calm to minimize drift and negative impacts to non-target species. During and after each herbicide application, locations designated by London Grove Township shall be posted with signs stating that herbicide has been applied in the area. Signs shall be posted within 24 hours of application and no longer than 48 hours. The Contractor shall supply the signs. All persons who apply herbicide shall follow product label specifications. Application shall be done by State of Pennsylvania licensed pesticide operators or applicators only. The contractor shall provide copies of current pesticide licenses to London Grove Township upon contract approval. b. Remove any live organic material from the existing trail surface; c. Regrade the existing trail surface as needed to maintain a maximum cross slope of 5%; d. Top dress the existing trail surface with 2” of PA 2A Stone, fine grade stone and compact in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408/2016 § 210; e. Install Superpave 9.5 mm P.G. 22 Wearing Course .0 to .3 million ESAL’s SRL-H @ 3” depth in accordance with Penn DOT Publication 408/2016. f. Install topsoil as needed flush with the paved trail sloped to existing grade, with a maximum slope of 2:1. Topsoil to be seeded and mulched in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection “Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Program Manual".
