Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provision of an annual actuarial valuation and report within eight (8) weeks following provision of financial data by the City. • Preparation of annual benefit statements for active Plan members showing accrued and projected retirement benefits, accumulated employee contributions with and without interest, and other relevant information. • Preparation of an actuarial experience study every four years as required by Act 205. • Preparation of Act 205 filing. • Preparation of actuarial cost studies, asset and liability projections, and proposals relating to benefit changes. • Provide consultation and advisory services on any policy, legal, or administrative issues arising during operations, meetings, and through written requests. • Calculate the cost of recommendations for possible improvements to the Plan or proposed legislation. • Appear at Board meetings and hearings, and other relevant meetings as required. • Provide other actuarial services related to the Plan’s benefit activities as needed. • Calculate the cost of items being considered for labor negotiations.
