Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide a single, dedicated physician to provide medical services, manage and direct the medical care received by students at SHC during the scheduled clinic hours. Who serves as the Medical Director for the SHC providing year-round oversight and supervision of medical practices of the SHC. Physician to serve in the role of collaborator for the current nurse practitioner prescriptive authority; providing leadership to nurse practitioners in the selection and use of medications and therapeutic modalities that are consistent with good medical practice and works to formulate and maintain an inventory of drugs and supplies and provide clinical supervision to nurse practitioners in the development, implementation, review and modification of clinical care. Physician who partners in the leadership of quality services by recommending quality assurance activities which will evaluate and maintain the quality of medical care in accordance with policies and standards of medical practice and who participate in chart audits and peer review processes. Physician who oversees the development, revision and implementation of medical and nursing policies, procedures, protocols, standing orders and practice with the Clinical Oversight Committee. Physician who partners in the leadership to recommend and/or provide continuing education programs to further enhance the competencies of the clinical staff.
