Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Contractor to conduct site visits to prospective and current Medical Assistance (“MA”) and Children’s Health Insurance Program (“CHIP”) providers in order to meet the federal Affordable Care Act requirements contained in 42 CFR § 455.432 – Site Visits. Site visits will be a function of provider enrollment implemented within the Bureau of Fee-for-Service Programs. The federal regulations require the state Medicaid agency, the Pennsylvania DHS, to conduct preenrollment and post-enrollment site visits of providers who are designated as “moderate” or “high” categorical risks to the Medicaid or CHIP program. The purpose of the site visit will be to verify that the information submitted to DHS is accurate and to determine compliance with Federal and State enrollment requirements, including determining if the provider is operational; meaning the provider has a location and is open to the public for the purpose of providing health care related services.
