Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Treat existing stone trail with a nonselective herbicide in accordance with manufactures specifications. Application of herbicides shall not occur when precipitation may occur within 24 hours of spraying. Treatments shall be made when conditions are calm to minimize drift and negative impacts to non-target species. During and after each herbicide application, locations designated by London Grove Township shall be posted with signs stating that herbicide has been applied in the area. Signs shall be posted within 24 hours of application and no longer than 48 hours. The Contractor shall supply the signs. All persons who apply herbicide shall follow product label specifications. Application shall be done by State of Pennsylvania licensed pesticide operators or applicators only. The contractor shall provide copies of current pesticide licenses to London Grove Township upon contract approval. b. Remove any live organic material from the existing trail surface; c. Regrade approximately 300 lineal feet of swale to allow proper trail drainage at the trail connection to Heatherbrook Court. Swale to have a minimum slope of 5%. Swale to be seeded and mulched in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection “Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Program Manual”.
