Specifications include, but are not limited to: Design, permitting and construction of a long-term water treatment system to provide a service flow of 5 gpm which would include a neutralizing filter with backwash, C12 injection with contact tank, Iron / Manganese Control - chemical oxidizing filter such as greensand with chlorine backwash, flow control (5 gpm) and solenoid, 400 to 500 gallon water storage tank, booster pump with bladder tank, pipes, fittings, supports, valves, pipe insulation, electrical wiring, surface restoration and all associated work. All components of the treatment and storage system must meet NSF standards. The existing building elements and infrastructure which is disturbed during the installation of the water system improvements shall be repaired and restored to the original condition except that repainting will be by the County. Construction of a wood frame soffit covered with sheetrock will also be required to enclose the new water pipe to be installed through the existing office area. The work will also include conducting a camera survey of the well and a bore inspection of the hardware as well as flushing and shock disinfection and testing of the treatment system, the water main and distribution system.
