Work with children and families on a regular basis to assist with educational, medical, social and emotional needs and enhance parental participation/involvement. Enhance the lives of these families and partner with families and service providers to ensure safety and well-being of children. Establish family support programs and activities meant to impact the families prior to any allegations of abuse and neglect. Be an advocate to families and children for the purpose of preventing involvement with Children and Youth Services/Juvenile Probation Services and/or prevent dependency/delinquency of children. Assist with referrals to other community resources in an attempt to reduce or eliminate risk factors and/or safety threats. Assist families with utilizing existing skills, learning of new skills and expanding social network. Maintain a collaborative relationship with schools and other community partners.
