Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary goal of the Business Services Team in the PA CareerLink® Berks County is to increase the number of employers using the One Stop’s services by acting as a liaison between the business community and the One Stop. This team shall consult with businesses on their current and future workforce development needs and makes referrals to both PA CareerLink® and non-PA CareerLink® services as appropriate. This team shall also specialize in providing services to employers to identify skill gaps in their current workforce and shall help to provide the resources necessary to assist current employment retention. The Business Services Team shall work closely with PA CareerLink® employment specialists to form an integrated approach to fulfilling every business’s needs. Role of the WDB 4.4.1.1.1 The WDB is the agent duly authorized to act on behalf of the County on all matters, questions and issues relating to or arising out of or as a result of this Agreement or the County Program. 4.4.1.1.2 In particular, the WDB is empowered to monitor all activities and expenditures under this Agreement. 4.4.1.1.3 The WDB is also empowered to issue directives and interpretations relating to this Agreement and to receive reports on behalf of the County. 4.4.1.2 Target Group 4.4.1.2.1 Local and regional businesses as identified by the One Stop Operator and the WDB. 4.4.3.1 The duties of the selected Vendor for Business Services shall include the primary functions of: 4.4.3.1.1 Job posting solicitation. 4.4.3.1.2 Individual job development efforts (as opposed to identification of potential openings on either an individual or group scale). 4.4.3.1.3 Marketing existing PA CareerLink® Berks County products and services including ACT® National Career Readiness Certificate, WorkKeys® assessments and WorkKeys® job profiling for local businesses (fees for such are retained by the PA CareerLink®), and incumbent worker training, or other products and services as directed by the PA CareerLink® Operator. 4.4.3.1.4 Obtain and/or maintain WorkKeys® Profiling credential. It is expected that one staff member will have the WorkKeys® Profiling credential. This contract will support the cost of obtaining and/or maintaining one credential. The current costs associated with obtaining/maintaining this credential are $1,600 for the Skill Pro License, $2,100 for Job Profiling Training and the cost of travel to attend the training component.
