Specifications include, but are not limited to: This contract will cover the requirements of Washington County for Temporary staffing services for various types of staffing needs as follows but not limited to: Seasonal Election Worker Department: Elections Reporting to: Elections Director Job Purpose: To assist the Washington County Elections Office in pre-election and post-election duties. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Logic and accuracy testing of electronic election equipment in a warehouse environment. Preparing precinct supply bags with appropriate materials for poll workers. Loading and unloading of supply bags from our Office to our warehouse for pick up. Unpacking of supply bags after election. Sorting of election materials after election. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: Clerical work. Other duties as assigned. Key Working Relationships: The employee will work under the supervision of the Elections Director. Requirements: Ability to sit and stand Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to follow oral and written instructions Attention to detail Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. Hours of Work: The Elections Office is open Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm; there is a possibility of overtime. Election Day hours are 6:00 am to 12:00 am (possibility of earlier ending time if results are tabulated sooner). Schedule: Six weeks (four week prior to the election and two weeks after the election) with the possibility of an extension. Pertinent Information: Total Spend for 2019 - $160,000.00 – Washington County does not guarantee any future service request. All requested service will be on an “as needed” basis. We currently only have positions available for Elections. Washington County reserves the right to add departments as needed throughout contract period.
