PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. This project calls for Intelligent Traffic Signal upgrades at various locations throughout the City of Philadelphia as determined by the City Project manager. Special provisions are provided outlining the scope of each item. 1.4 CONTRACTS A. Construct Work under Prime Contracts for: ITS Upgrade On Call. The scope of Work for each Contract shall be as indicated below. 1. Incidental Work provided by a one Prime Contractor but specified in a Division mainly the responsibility of a different Prime Contractor shall conform to the applicable specifications (i.e. earthwork required for Plumbing Work shall comply with the requirements of general construction). B. ITS Upgrades On Call: Provide all the Work of the Contract, including but not limited to: 1. ATMS integration of specified intersections 2. Install CCTV camera at specified locations. Integrate into City network 3. Replace existing traffic signal controller with specified traffic signal controller at specified intersections 4. Replace existing traffic signal equipment (posts, vehicular signals, pedestrian signals) at specified intersections 5. Install specified detection system at specified intersections 6. Install fiber optic cable of the specified type along the specified limits 7. Locate and repair existing conduit at specified locations 8. Install wireless radios at specified intersections 9. Install wireless routers at specified intersections 10. Install APS system at specified locations
