The Housing Authority is seeking a Provider to assist public housing residents of the John E. Horan Garden Apartments and Bird Drive development that will integrate a network of community-based resources and services that strengthens family support, parenting practices, and the healthy development of children. This will include, but not be limited to offering support groups, referrals to other needed social service agencies and case management services. In addition, the Provider must offer programs that promote job preparation, related education and training, and job placement. The Authority will provide classroom space, computer hardware, all utilities, and building maintenance, onsite, at the John E. Horan Garden Apartments Learning Center, 730 Tacoma Road. The Provider is responsible for the daily cleaning of the building and any needed janitorial supplies. To assure successful completion of the family support services and employment training program, the Provider must be able to partner with the John E. Horan Garden Apartments Early Connections Child Care Center, or other childcare provider, to arrange on- or near-site childcare services for any resident participating in the program who needs childcare.
