The Reservoir Project ("RES_1.0"), includes two (2) aboveground, pre-stressed concrete storage tanks located in the Cooper Mountain area of Washington County, southeast of the intersection of SW Grabhorn Road and SW Stone Creek Road. The tanks will receive and store finished water from the WWSP Water Treatment Plant (WTP_1.0) and will gravity feed the downstream transmission system. The total storage capacity will be 30 million gallons (MG), distributed between two 15 MG tanks. The tanks will be designed and constructed to conform with the AWWA D110 standard. The project will also include a disinfection chemical feed system, a mechanical mixing system for the stored water volume, and a combination emergency overflow storage and storm water management system. Engineers having previous experience with similar aboveground water storage tank projects are encouraged to learn more about the project.
