Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Post a notice of carnival hours at each fair entrance, only if carnival hours vary from fair hours. b. Be responsible for any and all camping fees associated with Proposer’s personnel and activities. Should camping costs be incurred by the County on behalf of the Proposer, the Proposer shall reimburse County for any such charges. c. Provide shower facilities for its personnel so as not to interfere with fairgrounds showers used by student exhibitors. d. Adhere to all State Fairgrounds regulations, Fire & Life Safety regulations, local code compliance, no camping inside the state fairgrounds, no cleaning of equipment with soapbased liquids, etc. e. Provide a gate pass to its employees who will be working that day. Proposer will work with the fair event coordinator to arrange and distribute required passes for staff and remain in compliance of established staff access plan. All gate passes shall be surrendered to the ticket taker at the green gate entrance to the fair. Proposer shall be responsible for the collection and redistribution of its passes and comply with ticketing requirements set forth by fair management. f. Provide between 14-17 rides, which includes 40% kiddie rides (rides that will not physically accommodate an adult in a reasonable manner and which appeal to children 10 years and under) and 60% teen/adult rides which shall include a minimum of one major or spectacular adult ride. g. Ensure that all rides are mechanically and visually well-maintained with no more than one out of order ride at any one time; no peeling paint, and burned out lights, etc. h. Provide no more than two food concession stands with at least one stand serving cotton candy, caramel apples, popcorn, cold drinks, coffee, corn dogs, and/or other such foods. i. Provide a minimum of 12 family-friendly game concessions. j. Work in coordination with County fair event coordinator to provide advance pre-sale discounted all-day ride passes or wristbands that are redeemable for unlimited all-day rides, and have all-day ride passes or wristbands available for on-site sales. k. Provide the County fair event coordinator a carnival footprint for approval before setting up rides, games, food booths, office trailer, etc. l. Attend a pre-fair carnival coordination meeting with the County fair event coordinator.
