Specifications include, but are not limited to: Acquiring property and casualty insurance, workers’ compensation insurance, boiler, underground storage tank, machine, errors and omissions, bonding, liability coverage (including for voluntary student accident), ski and field trips, athletics, outdoor education, and any other insurance needs, except employee benefits. Eugene School District will select as its Agent of Record, a licensed insurance agent or broker who can perform the most cost efficient services for the benefit of the District. To make that determination, the District shall consider the following factors in reviewing the proposals: 1. Length of experience as a licensed insurance agent or broker in the State of Oregon. 2. Familiarity with the insurance needs of school districts specifically, and governmental entities, generally. 3. Accessibility of the agent to the District. 4. Agent access to and ability to obtain insurance policies from reputable insurance carriers, providing good coverage to the District at the lowest possible premium. 5. Agent ability to continuously analyze the District's insurance needs and requirements, including the feasibility of self-insuring any or all risks that are currently under an insured plan. 6. Agent's ability to solicit competitive insurance coverage proposals for all insurance carriers and to analyze the coverage offered.
